This boards cointains a number of unique features and improvements on the original design:
1. No more 2 Watt resistors on the transmitter board! The new board utilizes extremly low-mass surface mount resistors which will not overheat or stress the solder joints under repeated virbration.
2. Tapered boards conforms perfectly to the space provided and are significantly stiffer than the originals, reducing board flex. Larger traces and pads for better reliability and longevity.
3 Better IR efficiency. Opto receivers are highly sensitive, yet filter out visible light.
4. Visual status LEDs allow for quick and easy troubleshooting of problems in the ball trough. All LEDs are easily checked just by openeing the coin door!
